"Deep in our instincts and cells we remember living wild in nature, fitting into the seamless circle of the seasons, reading the weather and the landscape, facing frights and challenges." - Diane Ackerman, A Natural History of the Garden

I have vivid memories of time spent outside. My memories include all the senses. The image of glistening, deep black soil and it's scent. Untangling roots and caressing rocks. Tasting food freshly picked from the garden. The sound of creatures moving when working in the garden.
